Places to Eat
Here are some of our favorites…
Hearthstone Bistro - The Hearthstone makes many amazing soups, sandwiches and salads. They have a great menu, reasonable prices and a cozy but hip atmosphere.
G&L Chili Dogs - This is a local fast food chain with the greek chili dogs of Beth’s childhood. The cheddar chili dog special is a staple “Muskegon food” when we visit or introduce new people to the area.
Hobo’s Tavern – One of the best places in town to get a local favorite staple meal, Lake Michigan Perch. They also have a full menu with many other great choices, and a general Sports Bar/Tavern atmosphere.
Docker’s – The quintessential Fish House on the water, upscale yet casual, live music on the deck and an amazing menu. Mom’s favorite is the lobster macaroni and cheese.
Mr. Scrib’s Pizza – Our go-to local pizza of choice. Thin crust, loads of toppings. They recognize Dad by voice. Deluxe + bacon.
Mr. Quick – Another local fast food chain (I swear I wasn’t raised on fast food!). Burgers, onion rings and shakes are all good.
US31 BBQ – A Muskegon landmark. Tiny diner with good food.
Mia & Grace - big city feel in a small space and at a decent price. Fresh foods, homemade sodas and handmade ice creams too.
Rykes - They are our caterer and cake baker, so even if you don’t visit the cafe/bakery, you’ll get to try some of their great food and cake at the reception.
